Poll: Which Movie Will Be The Biggest Hit Of 2014?
2014 saw number of hit movies. However, we haven’ seen a blockbuster
yet. We all expected Salman Khan’s Jai Ho to be the blockbuster of the
year but the movie disappointed viewers with its box office performance.
Though it is the biggest grosser yet, it has collected only 116 crores
nett in India, whereas few of the top 5 ‘all time grossers’ are in the
200 crore club already. So, it was a much disappointing performance.
The 100 crore movies of the year are: Jai Ho, Holiday & 2 States. (Jai Ho & Holiday crossed 110 crore mark whereas 2 States just crossed 100 crore mark)
Other top groosers are: Gunday, Humshakals, Queen, Main Tera Hero, Heropanti & Ragini MMS 2.
Right now, Ek Villain is doing brisk business, but it’s not going to be one of the blockbusters with the potential to cross 150 crore mark since the screen count is less.
So, we have pinpointed our expectations on the slew of big releases awaiting us in the 2nd half of 2014. Which are those those big movies with the potential to be the biggest hit of the year? Let’s take a look!
Kick: Salman Khan’s Kick is expected to be a huge hit, especially since it’s getting released during Eid. The trailer and music are already hits. Given Salman Khan’s clout on mass audience, we expect this to be a huge blockbuster. It also stars Jacqueline Fernandez!
Happy New Year: Shahrukh Khan & Deepika Padukone’s Happy New Year is expected to be the Diwali blockbuster of the year. Farah Khan and Shahrukh Khan team gave us two super hits already, and the movie comes after Shahrukh Khan’s blockbuster Chennai Express. So, all the eyes are on the movie!
Bang Bang: Hrithik Roshan & Katrina Kaif’s Bang Bang is one of the biggest and most anticipated releases of the year. This action thriller has got the potential to be a blockbuster. We expect this film to collect anything between 100 and 200 crore.
P.K.: Aamir Khan & Rajkumar Hirani team is back after their blockbuster outing ’3 Idiots’ in 2009! This movie has blockbuster written all over it. Will it be the blockbuster we all have been waiting for? Will it cross the record of Dhoom 3?

Kapil Sharma and Kamaal R Khan get into a Twitter war
Kamaal R Khan, popularly known as KRK, is back to doing what he is best at - trolling various celebrities.
After tweeting nonsense about celebs like Sunny Leone, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, KRK got into Twitter war with comedian Kapil Sharma.
The fight reportedly started with KRK posting about Kapil and his YRF film. Kamaal had posted, "When YRF asked @NargisFakhri to do film with @KapilSharmaK9 She was laughing loudly n said sorry I don't have dates." But that was not all, he further posted, "SMS of Nargis- I was shocked to hear offer of YRF to do film with comedian Kapil Sharma. I think they forgot tat I was launched with Ranbir."

Leave me alone: Mallika on Antonio Banderas ‘relationship’

Mallika, who entered the Indian film industry in 2003 with “Khwahish” , was recorded on video dancing with the “Desperado” star during a party in Cannes two years ago.
“I remember when they danced and they had a lot of PDA (Public Disply of Affection), he had a lot of public affection with Mallika,” Los Angeles stylist Ivan Bitton was quoted by radaronline.com as saying.
“He was saying ‘God you’re so beautiful,’ like a horndog would do talking to a prey,” he added.
After the report, the “Murder” actress tweeted, Thursday: “LEAVE ME ALONE!”
When contacted by another international site eonline.com on her relationship with Banderas, who along with Griffith recently announced that they were ending their marriage after 18 years, Mallika said: “Antonio Banderas is a wonderful man, a great dancer and an acquaintance of mine.”
“I did not go on any vacation with him, and I’m sorry he’s going through a divorce,” she was further quoted by eonline.com.
She went on to say that Bitton was hired only for the international film festival.
“Ivan Bitton is not my best friend. I hired him as a stylist at Cannes and then fired him. I’m sure he released the video.
“I don’t know what he’s even talking about now. I haven’t been in touch with Ivan since I fired him. Whatever he’s saying about me is ridiculous,” she said.
Hailing from Rohtak in Haryana, Mallika went international with Jackie Chan-starrer 2005 film “The Myth”, and then did Jennifer Lynch’s “Hisss” and William Dear’s “Politics of Love”.
Her first visit to the Cannes fest was with Jackie Chan for the promotion of “The Myth

CM Punk Will Come Back to the WWE, Says Alberto Del Rio; While Punk Talks About Watching ’40 Hours of Game of Thrones’

Punk has been away from the WWE for several months, and he has basically all but ruled out retirement.
Alberto Del Rio, the Mexican professional wrestler, told Digital Spy that regarding CM Punk, “Yeah, of course. He’ll be back soon. I don’t know when, but he’ll back.”
For his part, CM Punk has been tweeting what he’s been watching.
“Sick of people telling me I don’t do anything. I just watched 40 hours of Game of Thrones,” he tweeted a few days ago, meaning he likely watched all four seasons of the popular HBO fantasy-drama.
He later tweeted on Monday: “Due to insomnia I’ve seen 6 hours of nazis on the smithsonian channel and can recite an entire Jockey bra infomercial. #panzerschokolade.”
There hasn’t been much clarity regarding the WWE-Punk situation.
A few months ago, Mick Foley wrote on his Facebook page that Punk was in “considerable pain” while he was performing.
Foley wrote: “Yes, the response to that funny photo of CM Punk on a
milk carton was incredible. While I respect everybody’s opinion – as
long as it is given in a respectful way, I have to disagree with those
out there who find great fault in Punk’s simply walk away.”He added: “I am kind of like a ghost that drifts in and out of WWE, but in my past three years of drifting, I have never been to a WWE event where Punk was not in considerable pain. Ice packs, heating pads, and visits to the trainer were as much a part of his daily routine as eating. sleeping, and wrestling. Performing at that level, in that degree of pain was only possible when accompanied by the passion that turned an unlikely Indy kid into one of the greatest WWE superstars of his generation.”
Micromax Canvas Knight Now Features Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Micromax has started selling the Canvas Knight A350, its octa-core
processor handset, with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. While
Micromax has not
announced an update, it seems probable that the domestic Indian
manufacturer will also issue the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Canvas
Knight phones already in the market.
The news comes from Micromax's official Google+ and Facebook posts, which boldly state, "With the Integrated Voice Search feature of Android Kitkat OS in Canvas Knight, you can search the web just by saying 'Okay Google'!"
Further confirming the news, the Micromax Canvas Knight's page on the company's website also mentions "Android KitKat 4.4.2 - Forget scrolling through call logs and contact lists to find your priority numbers. On the Canvas Knight, you have a smarter contact list that prioritizes numbers based on who you call the most! Tap on the Google bar and launch voice searches from the home screen by saying 'Okay Google!' Carry your documents wherever you go, with integrated Google Docs and Google Drive account features. Never miss a message with the pre-loaded Hangouts app which stores all of your SMS messages alongside your other conversations and video calls! Get set for a more intuitive experience!"
Micromax already has three handsets that run on Android 4.4 KitKat OS - the Micromax Canvas Entice, the Canvas Engage and the recently launched Unite 2. Last week, we also saw the Canvas Gold A300 with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat as per the official company's website listing.
The Micromax Canvas Knight was launched in March at Rs. 19,999, and ran Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.
The highlight of the Canvas Knight is its octa-core MediaTek (MT6592T) processor clocked at 2GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM.
The Canvas Knight offers dual-SIM (both Micro-SIMs) support and comes with a 5-inch (1080x1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display with a pixel density of 443ppi. The Canvas Knight comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is non-expandable. It sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with OmniVision CameraChip sensor and M8 Largan Lens, while there is a secondary 8-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.
Last month one of Micromax's rivals, Xolo, announced its plans to roll out Android 4.4 KitKat OS to its smartphones - Q700S, Q1010i, Q1010, and Q3000 by this month. The Xolo Q600s with Android 4.4.2 KitKat was also made available to buy online for Rs. 8,499.
